Notes:
[1] Mr. and Mrs. John Philip Meyer commissioned Charles Eames to design the home and dining room and living room furnishings at 4 Deacon Drive in Huntleigh, St. Louis, in 1936-38; the chairs belonged to the bridge set that were part of the original furnishings. Upon the death of Mr. Meyer, and her subsequent move to another home and remarriage to Leigh Gerdine, Alice S. Meyer Gerdine retained the bridge set ["Design in America: The Cranbrook Vision, 1925-1950." The Detroit Institute of Arts, The Metropolitan Museum of Art: 1983, p.108).
