NOTES
Rudi Tröger made this lightly sketched drawing after taking a walk with his wife in the Bavarian Forest. Tröger said, "In the morning, the mild sunlight transforms the broad white windowsill into a blend of yellow and violet. It was Easter day and the baked lamb with cross and gold flag sat quietly with the first yellow primrose in green grass. Miniature colored eggs, pussy willows with their silken skins in a jug, and chrome-yellow sugar chicks were also part of the arrangement." At the drawing's upper edge, the artists wrote notes about color and contrast indicating that it is a preparatory drawing for a future painting.
