NOTES
This medal was made to commemorate the entry of the recently married couple into Lyons on 10 July 1499. Louis wears the chain of the order of S. Michael. Anne is coiffed in typical headdress of Brittany. The lion beneath each bust represents Lyons. The inscription surrounding Anne reads, in translation, "Amid the joy of the commonwealth of Lyons, for the second time under the kindly reign of Anne that I was made. 1499."
