NOTES
Animated foreground figures direct our gaze to the central figure of the Virgin Mary. She, together with twelve of Christ’s disciples, experiences Pentecost, the descent of the Holy Spirit (represented by the white dove). The power of this descent is communicated through Mary’s restless pose.
